Problem solved - so far so good.

Just an update on the status. I think the problem is resolved but I do not know exactly how. I suspect it is sticking valves/lifters or the injectors over-dispensing. Some forum members also suggested the same.

This is what I did:

1) I replaced all my injectors with a set from a JY.
2) I changed the oil 2 times. The second time after only about 100 miles. I changed it while the oil is very hot and let it drained overnight.

I have driven over 200 miles now and it is purring like a cat in idle. NO missing at idle and NO smoke coming from the vent hole. The problem used to happen after driving for about 10 miles or less. The jury is still out but keep my fingers crossed.

Let close out this thread as it has been a long time.

If you have smoke coming out of the vent hole at the left hand rear corner then your engine is DONE for. At least mine was. The problem never went away as it was caused by severe blow-by. I did a mini overhaul of the engine and I have done 8K mile since. I am glad to report back that the car turned 350K today. Engine runs smooth and no smoke or blow by to speak of. Most rebuilt engine gives a 10K warranty so I feel pretty good with my work. Here is the picture taken by passenger when it happened. Some forum member have seen the car during SoCal meets.

I'm experiencing the same issues (perhaps more severe) as you, and have been posting to the thread "OM603 Idles, Won't Pick Up Speed." Just found the excessive crankcase pressure last night, and will follow the thread here to see your progress--you may want to follow mine from today forward if it would help. Good luck!
For those who care the above mentioned thread is here
