You forgot to mention that he drives on the wrong side of the road as well !!!!!
& the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the dash !!!

Steering shock is an interesting idea. My 300SD no longer likes to turn on its own during turns. Although it does sounds like you need some new tires. Steering shock was relatively inexpensive and is a breeze to replace (10 minute job).

85SD 240K & stopped counting painted, putting bac together. 84SD 180,000. sold to a neighbor and member here but I forget his handle. The 84 is much improved from when I had it. 85TD beginning to repair to DD status. Lots of stuff to do.
