Disabling ELR on 60x Series

I have read about the function of ELR, it is still new to me.

I am putting a later engine into a chassis that was not equipped with electronic controls.

Will I be able to effectively set the idle on this engine without the support of the ELR?

I don't mind opening the pump to disconnect it from the rack, if it is necessary.

It does have a default setting that keeps the engine running. IIRC, it's on the slightly low end of the idle range. You might be able to disconnect it and run it normally (that's actually part of the ELR test procedure.) Attachment = how to adjust base idle withOUT using the black numbered knob.

Unplug it and turn up the fine idle screw on the top rear of the pump.

I like yer crayfish, gave away a really nice one when I moved, about a 12"er, miss the critter. It's a breeder now so it's probably happy.

That one is actually the base idle, but if base idle is already in range (charts on pdf file) and one didn't want to transplant the idle computer, just keep on going.

finally got this car running.

it kinda wanted to stall when cold... I am just using the throttle to keep it alive.

Do I tighten the set screw to increase idle? or vice versa?
