Get in line with the rest of us, take a number .

You could do some fabrication if you have some skills. take a W201 5-spd & W123 4-spd and combine them.

http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/how-adapt-w201-speed-om616-om617-applications-t-965.html

plenty of W201 still around

Dang Charlie, I'm really wishing I had the tools to weld Aluminum!
That post makes it sounds like aside from building the franken-transmission the rest of the swap is the same as the 4 speed manual swap. I like the idea of having the option open to swap to a 5 speed if someday I was able to build a transmission like that.

On another topic. I've been looking into my drive shaft issue. On my bench I have the drive shaft for a w115 240D manual and the drive shaft for a w123 300d manual (the car I got my fly wheel out of) they are both to short for the w126 application. I'm not sure which shaft is for which car, but I think the 300d shaft is the shorter one.

I'd like to find the 300d shaft a new home, since I know they are in demand by people making this swap in a 300d. so anyone reading this who needs this shaft contact me. If anyone can verify the length of the 300d shaft that would be helpful.

You`re sitting too close to your monitor, move it across the room.

Sirnik, be sure to post a picture and the dimentions of the 300 shaft before you sent it on to the new user.

wish I had known you had one when I did my 4-spd swap last year.

Just a little status update.

My roommate and I still have not had schedules that aligned in order for me to use his good camera so no pics...

I've gone through all the gaskets on the engine and replaced them. I replaced every gasket and the front seal. the rear seal was not leaking, and I don't wanna mess with the crank, so its staying put.

I got the pop-tester up and running, I pop tested 13 Injectors last night, 5 from my new engine 5 from my old engine and 3 that I had in a bucket from the pick and pull. I picked the best 5 with pop pressures between 137bar and 141bar. I took those injectors apart and left them soaking in solvent. I went to the dollar store and got some candle holders, basically jars with a diameter about the 1/2 an inch larger then the height of the injector and about 4 inches deep perfect for me to get my hand in them to fish out parts. and the best thing, they were $0.50 each! Gotta love the $ store!

Tonight the injectors get build! maybe some pics... I think my roommate will be home tonight.

New Pics!!! Don these should meet with you approval

The block is finally oil free and ready to paint!

Tonight I spent about 4 hours calibrating injectors. It took about 2.5 hours to calibrate the first 4 but the 5th took about an hour an a half. luckily I had a bucked of old Injectors because none of the shims I had would get the last injector to pop along with the rest. So I started cracking open injectors and micing the shims till I found a good one.

Here are the injectors soaking in solvent.

The pop tester with Santa approved jar.

the pop tester! Thanks Garrett for loaning me this!

The stuff that is still yet to go back onto the engine
