1983 300SD Rear Window Sticking
When utilizing the window switch I can get the window to start moving down and then it kind of hits a snag and will not move smoothly. Then when I try to move it up it starts to go up but snags. I can actually pull it up to within 2 inches of closing and the switch then moves it the rest of the way up. So I am able to keep the window up and in a locked position for driving around.
So is this the moving 'J' slide I've heard about? Anyone else had a similar problem and can you point me in the right direction to make the repair? I appreciate your help. |

Could also be worn/damaged teeth on the gear drive assembly. Sounds like the regulator has seen better days. Lube, repair, or replace.
