1985 300D OVP question

Just bought a 1985 300D. Does it have an OVP relay. The tach is not working and i have been looking for the ovp but cant find it. Also there is a jack that is not connected under the steering wheel. I also have a 240D and that same jack is connected to a device that reads manual transmission on it. On the 300D should that be connected somewhere. I will take a photo of it when i find the camara.

Also there is a leak between the brake fluid reservoir and the master cylinder. Can that be repaired? or do i need a new assembly?

The OVP is in the cabin, passenger side. Remove the lower dash panel and you will see it on the right side, just below the upper (main) dash.

I'd replace the Master cylinder with a used one from a junkyard, or a rebuilt one from a store, but it can be rebuilt. there is an o-ring between the MC and the booster.

I just replaced the seals. I took them off my 240D, which I will most likely part out.

OVP picture

See the picture in post #10 of this thread for a good view of OVP, taken during dash replacement.
