Anyone know the part number for w123 TD headrest frames?

I've been working on a 1984 300TD for a friend and it's all done but I still need to add rear seat headrests.

I just got 3 excellent condition head rests and trim rings today. I need to add the brackets that rivet into the frames of the 60/40 seat backs.

I can't get the Startek EPC to load on my Mac. Would someone please look it up so I can let the wagon's owner know what part number to order?

Thanks!

I'm also willing to buy used frames/brackets from anyone that has them.

So the receiving hardware for each head rest costs $232.

I found a complete 60/40 seat back with head rests on ebay. I had to swap the brackets into the car's current seats since the ebay seats didn't match the car.

I made a thread about the installation here:

Here's the finished job:

Nice thread about installing the headrests. There is no reference to adding the plastic buttons on the seat backs that are used to press the headrest release mechanism. Those are little plastic rivets can't be re-used from the donor car so they need to be purchased. The part numbers for the rivet are 0009903592 and 0009904995.

Question: If you don't install the plastic rivet button, how do you actually release the headrests and remove them from the seat? Seems like the headrests might be stuck in the seat forever, which would be a bad thing, at least if you ever want to fold down the seat...

Question: Can you remove the grey mental part that actually IS the headrest latch and just not install that part? It seems like the result would be to have headrests with friction moving up and down, but no final latch at the end. Would this be a bad thing?

Comment: I've removed headrest brackets from 4 or 5 wagons and looked at the seat insides on non-headrest wagons. All wagons have the place for the brackets to mount independent of whether or not the wagon came with headrests. Some wagons with a single bench seat (not 60/40) have two headrests instead of three, but the mounting holes are present for the third (center) one. Some wagons do not have the cardboard piece covering the brackets.

Clarification on 2nd row wagon headrest latch mechanism. Picture one shows the headrest rail inside the headrest bracket, see the notch at the end of the rail? See the vertical (in the photo) grey metal thing that is going to snap into the notch when you try to pull the headrest out? How do you overcome that without a plastic button? Picture two shows the plastic button as cut out from blue carpeting, and next to it the two parts that make up the plastic button...
