RESOLVED!!

Replaced the two rubber caps on top of the reservoir, purchased a Motive Pressure Bleeder and ATE Super Blue, and it worked perfectly! I am not sure if the caps were the main issue or what at this point.

On a side note, my pedal was pressed to the floor a lot during this time. I drove for a day with it like this taking it to the floor nearly every time and it still works. So maybe this dispels the theory that if you press it too far it will break a seal due to seals contacting a rough spot?
