Vacuum modulator adjustment.. wiki..

Dear Forum:

I have a 83 300SD and my modulator was shot sucking the ATF fluid out faster than I could refill! Huge mess and it rises the oil level of the engine. However, I followed a couple of threads and replaced it already. Easy.

I have rigged up a pressure gauge according to the thread in wiki. my transmission is a 722.303

http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/Trans722VacMod

Here is what I get... If the car idles in D I get a pressure of about 1.2 bar.

wiki says I should get 12.5+-1.0 bar in D

I think they must be wrong by a factor of 10!

If I drive it a 50 km/h I get a pressure of 2.3bar.

Should I now adjust the pressure to 2.9 bar which is the pressure wiki tells me I should get when I am driving 50 km/h.

During driving the pressure changes on the load and I get pressures up to 3.2 bar.

I am still puzzled about the correct adjustment procedure. Can somebody help please?

Cheers....
