I'm in the process of replacing the rear suspension pieces and parts. Done are the thrust arms, tie rods, and control arms. Next on the list are subframe mounts and bushings. While inspecting those mounts and bushings I noticed the rubber in the rear differential mounts are shot and they need replacing.
Is it possible to replace the rear differential mounts w/o complete removal of the rear differential, control arms, springs, shocks, exhaust, etc.? I read in one thread the rear diff mounts must be pressed out toward the front of the vehicle. Is the MB tool a must or will a home made version suffice?
I've looked at the suspension pics provided by Dave M. BTW Thanks very much.
