Does an 85 560SEL dash fit into an 84 300SD?

the cluster should fit but the readings will all be off

They are both W126 bodies, so I would think they should fit.

The cluster isn`t a problem, use the same SD cluster.

I pulled a dash out of a 85 380SE, and as I remember, the cluster was part of the price.
then if you don`t want the cluster, put it up for sale to cover some of the price of the dash. just remember to look at the Diff ratio and write it on the back of the cluster. I think the 126 is spedo geared to the diff like the 123.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
