1981 300d window switch wires - $25 challenge

I will pay $25 via check or paypal to whoever can conquor this challenge.

I have a 1981 300D. When simply removing the left hand side window switch, I popped open the connector for (I think) the left rear window and also the safety switch. I need to know how to reconnect them. I've seen wiring diagrams but the color codes just don't match my wires. I'm stumped. So I'm turning to you. I have all info including pictures to help with this challenge.

Here are the facts:

1. PIC ATTACHED: The switch itself has 8 connections. 3 for front, 2 in the middle for the safety switch, then 3 for the back. From top to bottom in the attached picture, the connections are numbered as follows: (6,7,8) (2,blank) (5,3,4)

2. The plug that is in tact I believe is for the front left window. It's 3 wires are green, black, and red.

3. PIC ATTACHED: I have 5 wires dangling: pink/black, brown, white/red, green/brown, and green/black.

4. PIC ATTACHED: The connector that popped open has numbers inside. 5,1,2,3,4 is how the holes are numbered.

The challenge: WHERE THE "F" DO MY 5 DANGLING WIRES GO???

Just curious, why did you pop open the connector and remove the wires? I can take my console apart and give you the color codes/ wire location from my 83, which is probably the same.

The two "brown" ones go to the safety switch (which locks out the rear window switch), they can hook up either way on the two pins.

This was something I didn't do on purpose. It snagged on something, popped open and all the wires popped out. Not sure I could do it again if I tried.

Terminal 1 on the console switch connects to term 3 on the rear door switch.
Terminal 2 on the console switch connects to term 7 on the rear door switch.
Terminal 3 on the console switch should be the only wire with power when disconnected/key on. (Probably the red/white.)
The wire to terminal 4 should have continuity to ground.
The remaining wire goes on terminal 5 and connects to terminal 4 on rear door switch.

Still doesn't address what color wire goes where... Right?

Ok the terminals on the switch are numbered.

Match them up like this:

Red/White #6
Green/Black #7
black/pink #8

Then the brown wire and the brown/green wire go to the child saftey locks.

In that case, this is actually very helpful and I wish I had thought to do this myself...

Alright, I'm going to give this a shot and will see what happens. Think I probably need to replace the 2 fuses also, since all windows are offline even when some are plugged in...

Will hopefully owe you $25 tomorrow...

Thanks for the help, you were correct. 6,7, and 8 were the front window in my specific setup so just mirrored that on the other side of the switch.

Thanks again for the straightforward answer. Message me your paypal address or somewhere else I can gladly pay up the $25 I promised.
