Local transmission Help needed tonight!

If anyone is knowledgeable in transmission work on a 84' 300D, in the NoVa area and able to help tonight please contact me.

I had someone lined up to help me but he's out of communication right now. If not able to help tonight but another night this week/weekend that would work too.

(I'm not looking for major help, just a more experienced set of eyes/hands for about an hour)

Thanks.

you ought to retitle this thread help with transmission problems in No VA area... might get more responses...
also good would be to describe the problems or situations you are needing help with...

Thanks anyways, the guy I was waiting on showed up. I'm good now.

I was, if you're interested, having a seating problem with the torque converter seal and was not able to push the torque converter far enough into the transmission.

Patience, an old wheel bearing guide, a hammer and a second pair of hands fixed it all.

all the TC's I've ever had to seat, it was always an alignment issue. pull, lift turn jiggle etc until it goes in. i'd not be hitting on one myself...

Correction to ease your fears "....rubber mallet [strikethrough]hammer[/strikethrough],...

The guy who helped me was a Merc Master Tech for many years (he said he's getting to old to do it full time). He was telling me that he's had to tap a few in because they were so tight, just like mine.
