Transmission leak
My '85 300TD leaks a quart of fluid every ~800 miles. It seems to only leak during the warm months.
I've briefly checked underneath, but the leak is not coming from the pan gasket. What other leak locations are possible?

Modulator maybe? Can you tell which side it is leaking on?

The leak is on the driver's side of the trans. The modulator area and below is the most wet. It only leaks when in gear, so it's hard to locate the area. (I don't have a lift.)
Is the modulator seal/ring a PITA? Is there a book for the trans?

There is a good trans manual, I think Phil at fastlane can help you. Click the buy parts link!
