Envirosafe ES12A roll call

Look what I just scored on Craigslist? $20 for a kit: 2 cans of ES12A ,1 can dye charge, 1 can stop leak , charge hose, fittings, labels.

I have to flush the system, install the R4 compressor from my 240D parts car, install new receiver dryer, pressure test and charge if it tests good.

Who is running ES12A? Please respond to the following questions:

1. How long have you been running it?

2. What is your temps? Ambient and vent

3. Has performance (vent temps) remained the same since you converted to ES12A or has it slowly degraded?

I have it in both my cars.

1. Over a year in my 280CE, almost a year in my 300D.
2. On a 95 degree day about 40 degrees out the center vents while moving.
3. Performance has stayed the same.

For just a little more money, you could get a 609 license and buy the necessary R12 and have your system last longer, be easier to maintain and perform properly.

The fittings look the same as 134 fittings. No disrespect Larry but do you obey everey law there is without question? Is it possible that ES12A is superior than R12? Have you tried ES12A? I understand that Hydrocarbon refrigerant is widely used in Europe. It can't be that bad can it?

I have Envirosafe in China. It works OK as long as temps stay below 90 degrees.
I prefer R12 and Freeze12 based on performance, but I don't intend to remove it from China. 9 months out of the year it is fine......:)
