I think it can be done, but you would need a keyless entry type system and you would have to rig it to the doorlock system in the 123.
He's talking about creating a system that will roll up the windows in the 123 when you lock the door with the key, like newer model cars have.
the problem I see with it is the 123 has simple window controls, nothing to tell the system they are up/down/partway down...
a system would have to be engineered to know exactly where the windows are so you don't burn out the motors...

I know all of my newer VWs have had this, but to do it in a w123? Very involved.

You'd have to splice into all of the wiring in the console switches not to mention adding some type of press&hold switch to the lock cylinder on the driver's door.

Not worth the trouble IMO. Why do folks want to make old Mercs something they're not. TEHO, I guess.

If I wanted one button windows, I'd go buy a new TDI SportWagon.

Yes I will be using a wireless remote also. Is the W123 drivers door lock all mechanical? Meaning there is no electrical switch on it? There is a vacuum switch valve attached to the lock mechanism but is there a vacuum element on the drivers door?

The door of a W123 is all mechanical. When you lock/unlock the door, the lock cylinder mechanism turns a small vacuum switch valve to switch the lock and unlock vacuum lines. I put an actuator inside the panel to install my keyless remote. It has been working flawlessly for the last 3 years. You can install an one shot timer to close the window if you wanted to. You can time it to see how long it takes to close a fully opened window. It is doable but you will be driving the motor for a while if the window is not fully opened.

IMHO, not worth the effort.
