1992 300D Throttle linkage socket

I came off on the freeway!
I had to get CHP to push me off the freeway and towed.

I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where to buy them?

It popped back in and is working. The socket that came off was the linkage that runs next to the injection pump.

Thank you for any help

Nick

Dealer. As a temp fix I've used a candy bar wrapper (Mylar/silver plastic stuff) two layers over the ball and popped the socket over it. Works for a while.
Hope this works attached is the EPC with part numbers. Hope that is what your looking for:

Can`t those plastic sockets be up graded to the metal ones used on the W123 and W126?

or are they metal? seem like I read later models used plastic and a member up graded them.

I pulled all the linkage off a 83 parts car, and had a welder make correct length linkage that was reliable.
you can't change just the ends, the 124 linkage is flat metal pressed into the plastic ends...
total crap.
