Hybrid OAT coolants

So, it seems that on this forum, the Zerex G-05 is the most popular alternative brand to the MB coolant. I've looked in a few places around town (two O'Reily's and one NAPA) and can't find the Valvoline Zerex coolant.

Are there folks out there that have tried the other brands of HOAT coolant out there? Such as:
Artic Blend G-Plus
Fleetguard Fleetcool EX
Ford Motorcraft Premium Gold
Peak CF-EXL Extended Life Coolant

I think one of these I could find easier locally. Anyone want to chime in with experience or other research based knowledge?

I found 3 cans of r-12 at a flea market saturday for $15 (all weigh-in correctly) and want to get the cooling system flushed and revitalized before i mess with the AC.

My local NAPA stocks it, did you ask them if they could get it?

no, i didn't feel like special ordering anything, i suppose I should see if the cost would be reasonable. but they have several of the ones I mentioned there already, so i thought i'd ask.

Looking at the approved coolants from list 325.0, MB specifies one of the three G-xx coolants, that's G-05, G-30, and G-48.

I can't speak for the others, but Ford Motorcraft Premium Gold is a G-05 coolant, which is what MB specifies. It's essentially Zerex G-05 in a Ford bottle, and as it is for our cars, Zerex G-05 is a drop in replacement for Ford Motorcraft Premium Gold. Ford has been using G-05 since 2002. Mopar 5/100 Antifreeze is what Chrysler has used since 2001, and is G-05 as well.

This morning, I found the Zerex G-05 at the larger NAPA store in town, so I just bought it. But this thread may still be interesting for those having a hard time finding the Zerex locally.

Most NAPA stores can have it next day. Only the large stores stock it, but NAPA has many distribution centers and often can get your special order the same day, if not the next for sure.
