82' 240d - sunroof and odometer issues

Well hello! My name is Cam. I've been a leach here for a while and joined only after finally getting my own W123. It has the usual issues - vacuum stuff, A/C not blowing cold, dingy interior...all typical. But it has three issues that, if y'all are feeling particularly generous, I would love your advice and opinions about.

1 - The sunroof. It seems to open fine when it is warm outside, but not want to open or close without significant encouragement when it's cool outside. Any recommendations about that?

2 - The odometer stops turning when the trip odometer hits 79.9mi. It gets stuck and won't turn over to 80 and when this happens, the primary odometer refuses to turn, too.

3 - Oh yeah. The passenger door does not unlock with the key...

Any help is greatly appreciated. Also any general advice for a newbie would be great, too. I hate to be a bother or ask too much of such a great community right out of the shoot.

Thanks for such a great forum and for all the information!

sunroof: clean and re-grease with MB sunroof paste... order a small amount here on the buyparts tab.
odometer go to http://www.dieselgiant.com/repairyourodometer.htm and follow his advice for removal and dissassembly, but do not bother with the green loctite, just push the slipping gear in with methods explained in the diy, then just pinch the shaft with pliers to roughen the surface and reassemble. also, instead of thedrill bit he mentions, just use the trip odo lever shaft, it will likely fall out during disassembly anyway.
for the passanger's door lock, do you mean the key will not turn at all, or it's impossible to turn it because it's hard to unlock when the driver's door is locked?

Wow! Thanks for the thorough reply! I'll get to work asap.

As for the passenger-side lock, the key turns just as you'd expect it to, but the lock does not unlock.

One other minor annoyance that I'm experiencing is that my blinkers, when engaged, make almost no sound (no CLICK, click, CLICK, Click) and that God-awful preglow buzzer doesn't buzz. Any thoughts?

Thanks again! I'm sure I'll be racking up the 'please help me' posts over the next year, but I'll try to keep it to a tolerable minimum :)

ok, the key may be dislodged from it's lock rod. ya'll have to open the panel up and inspect that. be careful, the panel needs to be lifted off the clips at the bottom, dieselgiant has a pictorial on that too.
do the blinkers blink properly? normal speed or do they almost stay solid on?

They appear to be blinking properly. The signal arrow lights in the dash blink at what appears to be a normal interval and the CLICK click is just barely perceptible.

Danke!
