Question 82 300SD where does a/c drain exit car?

I've got water in my vents. pools in the back of the car after spitting out the rear register. I'm betting my drain is plugged. where does it exit the car? I'll go fish it out. I'd rather not dig into the evaporator and clean it from the top...

I just did the 81 flushed it with a hose. The drain is in the trans tunnel on the passenger side.

you may reconsider the cleaning.

This is what I found after removing my blower for repair.

my understanding is that there are two hoses that drain the condensation from the evaporator. One on the driver's side and one on the passenger's side. if I remember correctly, your evaporator hose on the drivers side had a tear in it and should be leaking onto the floor and traveling back to the rear seat floor area. (I'm pretty sure mine is doing the same thing.)

you could poke the wire grabbers into the drain from the tear in the hose and pull out some funk. It's a start.

Darn it. There's two? I know there's one on the driver's side. I replaced that one. I'll have to look for the one on the passenger side.

At any rate, there's not much sense trying to go backwards from the tunnel to the evaporator. The drain tube is a wire 'spring' wrapped in foam, and the foam is probably badly deteriorated. Search on 'evaporator drain' in the forum, and you'll find links that talk about how to replace it and what to replace it with.

holy cr@& that foam tube is the drain... yeah, I knew that pipe on the drivers side was torn up but had no idea it was the condensate drain... wow. who's bright idea was that? so... that's not why I have water blowing into the rear vents... obviously it's not clogged up it's torn compeletly open on the driver's side... anybody wanna guess why water is pouring out the lower vents...
