Fan clutch oil

Recently refilled my fan clutch on 300d. Purchased oil for $8 at local hobby shop. 10,000cst silicone oil. Not hard. Cools much better now. Wonderful website.

fan clutch oil? I learn something new about these cars every day...

I searched and did a bit of reading. I am not home to test my fan clutch, but if it is dry could that be why i run halfway between 80c and 100c instead of sitting at 80?
