Need AC wiring diagram, W140 300SD

Hey guys
I replaced the compressor in the 300SD and we've evacuated the system and started to recharge but the compressor still refuses to engage. I'm looking for a wiring diagram for the W140 AC system so that we can diagnose the problem and finish this up, anyone have one?

Thanks for your help, we're in a bit of a bind to get this done

Problem solved, something stupid, replacement compressor installed, system charged and 40F air coming out the vents, it's like a refrigerator inside.

Funny thing is that the compressor I pulled off the car looked to be a replacement. It had a benz decal on the back but it had a GAP warranty warning label above that. The number on the compressor was not the same as the compressor assembly number on the front clutch. The compressor number on the back label was the same as the replacement compressor from a S320, the label on the clutch matched the number EPC said should be in this car.

I'm wondering if I can get maintenance documentation from the dealership that originally sold / serviced the car in Florida and Georgia? If I had to guess I would say that at the least the compressor was replaced before, perhaps the evap housing was replaced before as well.

Depends on the dealer

The A**h*les here in town will tell you nothing about previous service...
"The Prior Customer's Service Records are Private"
(The Stealer doesn't want you to be able to know if something is coming up for
normal replacement interval,in hopes that it'll go and take out something much
more expensive.)

Howeveah, if one were to track down the previous owner(s) through the DMV
and ask permission to see the records ,with permission in writing the Stealer
almost has to "Deliver the Goods".

Here in Des Moines the attitude was somewhat different. I had the title in hand so I could purchase an extra key. I stopped by the service desk and asked if I could see the repair history for the vehicle while it was in their care and she printed out 36 pages of service history for me. To be honest I was stunned! It documented the work done from 2001 to 2005 which was hugely important since it was in that period that the new long block was installed because of oil consumption issues.

However, I have nothing for work done prior to 2001 or after 2005 when someone monkeyed around with the cluster / odometer. It was during the last five years that the poorest service / maint was done to this car, exactly the time when good quality service was really needed. It's a tale that we can tell about a lot of cars, get a few miles or years on the clock and service quality goes down the toilet.

My interest now is in regard to the service work performed between 1992 and 2001. I may write to the selling dealer and any mentioned in the warranty booklet and see if I get a response. I really have to believe that there has been other AC work done. This car is now 18 years old, and I find it hard to believe that the original evaporator is in there.

At least I now have AC, that's a big improvement.
