240D simple expansion valve question

On my 79 240D does the pigtail on the expansion valve hook up to anything?
Thanks

The H Block type expansion valve is "self contained" if you will. Since inlet and outlet both come through this valve, there is no need to wrap the bulb on the outlet tube as on a conventional TXV system. The bulb should already be on the outlet portion of the block.

Hope this helps

Thank you Larry. Just what I was thinking but needed to be sure. Someone before I got the car took all sorts of stuff apart and I can't be too careful.
