1982 300SD light switch wiring??? HELP

I have an 82 300SD that had a leaking back window..The car sit shut up with water in it from rain, etc...SO it created a lot of moisture and humidity_________

The headlight switch was FROZE UP! So I got one off of a parts car along with the brake light switch, and that aluminum square box etc..that bolt up aorund the pedal assembly...

WELL I pulled one wire at a time to swap out the headlight switch...the wiring colors were a little different but they seemed to be the same, i.e. like where one erminal had two or one wire, WELL

I got it in....I have left parking/right parking/OFF/both parking BUT in the headlight position I only have parking lights!

IF I take my power probe and energize fuse #6 OR #8 both headlights are coming ON:confused:

ANY ideas or diagrams that might help me would be very much appreciated!
