Auxiliary Fan- '95 E300 Diesel

My mechanic brought to my attention that my auxilairy fans are not running and I've noticed the AC gets really weak when sitting in traffic. Should I just replace the fans, or should I make sure that there isn't something else, like a swith or sensor, causing this?
Thanks,
John

Check the aux fan relay FUSES in the rear section of the fuse box.

Blue relay is for Aux fan low speed.

If the fuses are OK then check to see if there is power to the ballast resistor.

Thanks.
I'll take a look at it this weekend and let you know what I find.

Also there is a strip fuse on the fire wall by the brake booster in a snap box just like the one for the blower motor on the drivers strut mount. You can not visually inspect the fuse you must push on it slightly as they crack.
