Hubs on 300SD same as 300D?
Are the front hubs on a 300SD the same as on a 300D?
I'm headed to the pull-a-part. They always have more SDs. I would have compared part numbers but they're not listed in the on-line catalog.

I THINK they are different and take different brake rotors, but I am not 100% sure.
Actually, I did some digging and any 1st gen W126 (81-85) IS compatible with the W123. What you get on the W126 is bigger calipers and thicker vented rotors so I would pull everything off the donor car and swap them into the W123

w126 up to 1985 have the same front hubs. As noted above rotors are different. Some w126 have anti-lock brakes and the hubs have teeth for the sensor, you can still use them for the w123.

86+ is equally compatible. You just need 15" or larger wheels to fit the bigger brakes.
