Tranny service done on my SDL - now windows don't work...

I know this is crazy - I don't see how they could possibly be related, but yet:

I serviced my transmission today - drained the fluid from the pan and the TC, reinstalled new kit (filter and gasket), refilled the fluid, took it for a gentle ride and adjusted fluid until it was full - was feeling pretty good about the job completed until I discovered that my windows won't roll up in the front...

Checking some more I discovered that none of the windows are responding to the UP/DOWN controls anymore but the electric mirror adjustment still works... I've checked all of the fuses (A, B, C and D) and they all conduct electricity - they were all replaced recently. The windows were working perfectly just this morning...

I don't know where to go from here - everything else seemingly is working - what would be the next step in troubleshooting?

James

Pinch any wires under the car while you were down there near the tranny?

Or near where you were jacking it up

Maybe blew a fuse that also controls the wind'rs.

I didn't really mess with any wires under there... and I didn't have to jack up the tranny - just drained it and replaced as described.... that's why I'm stumped....

check DIY

I created a diy for W126 power window issue I had.
be sure to check the fuse powering the Window relay.
See if when you turn the ignition on/off, the power window relay cycles.
If not, swap it with a neighboring relay and test if another function is now inop or if the other function is fine and your window relay is still not clicking. Perhaps bad fuse (to relay).

Please note, that these fuses can "look" good and be bad or have poor connectivity.

Best of luck.

I can check them... but how would all 4 of them go bad at the same time?

Anybody have an electrical diagram for the W126?
