URO ignition switch
Hi All,
After about 2 months of use my brand new URO ignition switch failed ('85 300SD but the switch is pretty much the same for all Mercedes). I opened it up to see what's wrong with it and was shocked about the (bad) quality of this product. Many (at least three) of the contacts were bent randomly and two of the contact rivets were loose. I am attaching a picture with black arrows marking bent contacts and a yellow arrow marking one of the loose rivets. for the search engines: DO NOT buy URO ignition switches.

Wow...I have not bought any URO stuff, and will not in the future based on the experiences here.
I guess URO needs to change their name to UGO (Yugo) based in quality and reliability...

BTW, I completely independently posted this from the "URO tie-rod" post. I only saw that after I posted this.

I once tried to install a URO front sunroof seal; during the process, it fell apart.
All URO stuff is junk, so it not surprising to find that it's made, not in Europe, but China.
