85 300D Door Locks

Having some trouble with the vacum system holding pressure it seems. The (all) door locks will not open when the car is cold. Once the engine is running for a bit the locks come open. All of the locks close from the drivers door after driving the car. Not a major inconvenience for me until multiple passengers are in the picture. I plan on replacing all of the rubber vacum line intersections & termination pieces for starters. Any other thoughts?

And if that doesn't work, the first reply to this post gives a concise step-by-step procedure for finding the leak if it's in the door-locking system:

Worked for me!

If you have a California or Federal version without the black box, like me, you might be kinda lost.

Try this, I'm going to today.

The thread that "benchracer" has for you is sweet. I used that one to track down multiple vacuum problems on both my 300's. Worked very well and the golf tees were the best part!
