I'll give you $1000 for it right now, cash. I love that color, really love the price. Where are you in East TN? Knoxville? I have 5 MBs and some parts if you need.

Gen I (1979-1985) versus Gen II (1986-1991). Gen II headlights were changed to the more flush look.

I want you to fully understand how lucky you are to have a girlfriend that will detail the car with you, and wants to drive a great car like that. I HATE YOU SO MUCH. I can’t even get my girlfriend to stop treating her car like a dirty old purse hahaha Great buy for $900. Have fun with her.

Talking Pic Update

I machine buffed all the paint today after a thorough wash. Then I broke out my clay bar to get everything clean. After the clay bar I hand waxed all the paint with a cleaner wax. Brooke (fiance, it's her car after all) worked hard on the interior with Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner. We're going to steam clean the carpets tomorrow. I'm in love with this diesel. It's easy to work on, it gets great mileage, and it's built every bit as well as my w114 (some would argue better), which really says something.

Yeah, I'd preffer bundts as well, but unless someone is willing to take a trade then they're out of the budget presently.

Hmmmm.....a trade. Maybe, someone that wants your wheels will buy the bundts from me and trade you. Your wheels won't fit my fintail nor my ponton.

Yup, I'm up to my ass in wheels and tires that I don't want at the moment. I also have a set of four alloy painted 18" VW GTI wheels eating up space in my garage that I need to sell. They even have tires with less than 10k mi mounted on them.

Lucky girl....that is a nice-looking car. One of my favourite colour combos. I love how the clay/polish/wax sequence leaves such a glassy finish...just did that on mine too....

So I'm probably going to need to do the following on the SD fairly soon.

-Install new voltage regulator and alternator belts on the alternator.
-Find out why the AC compressor pully squeaks and fails to engage sometimes (ac still works, but it seems like the pully is sticking)
-five new glow plugs
-install a new starter (This one functions well enough, but it looks original to the car.)

Anyone have any helpful hints for the tasks ahead of me?

Here's some photo's of the $900.00 wunderkarrr from todays journies.

Horses!!

Don't let the horse taste the paint! Why is that some animals will lick and bite at a vehicle?
