126 Right and Left Tie Rods When I replaced the tie rod assemblies on my 123, both tie rod assemblies were identical. When I started to replace the tie rod assemblies on my 126, I got a right and left tie rod assembly. What is the difference between the right and left tie rod assemblies? When installing them, how do I determine which tie rod end is the outer and which tie rod end is the inner? |

I just replaced the front linkages on my SD, and honestly couldn't tell a difference between the two assemblies, but I wasn't looking at them too carefully, other than to make sure that the numbers matched to get them on the correct side. As to which end went in or out, I placed them so that the nuts on the connecting tube were facing to the rear, hoping to keep them from being filled with debris, but that's probably just a futile attempt. Anyone else have any ideas on it? |

Usually if you get the good parts one is green and the other is black. They have to be different, otherwise they'd not sell them as such....I didn't really try to figure out what is different about them. |
