'93 W124 over to '91 W124 engine/tranny swap...
I eluded to this in my other post (Russian VIN site), but I need more info on the specifics to this swap that my buddy is attempting - he found a donor out of state and is having it shipped to Denver, CO! Wanna make sure there will be no issues with this swap...
Sounds like the engines between '91 and '93 are pretty much the same - but notice I got the attached info from classic MB site (sent them an inquiry) - see he highlighted in red the transmission section - does that mean that the transmissions between '91 and '93 models may not be compatible?! The original car ('91) is a MB 300D 2.5 liter (602 engine). Any comments would be welcome.

The transmissions might have some internal changes, but completely compatible.
