1999 e300 with error code p0235

My wife started the car the other morning and the check engine light turned on, and she said the A/C wouldn't work. I checked the code and it came back (p0235 boost condition limit not reached). I just had the motor mount replaced could it be they knocked a hose loose (i haven't checked yet).Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Anton

I've never heard of that code before but the only thing I can imagine is that they took the vacuum hoses off the turbo transducer and put them back on wrong. I'll look at my car this morning and verify the correct positions and get back to you later.

OK, the hoses from the turbo modulator go as follows:

The inlet is a plastic line going into the center of the modulator. The feed to the wastegate is right next to it, also on top. The vent line runs out the bottom of modulator to a small filter on top of the fender.

The modulator itself is located under the hose leading from the air filter to the turbo inlet.

Thanks KarTek, my hoses are routed as you say yours are. Could the modulator be bad? is there a way I can test it?

Thanks again for your time,

Anton

There's a duplicate modulator on the opposite fender well. You can swap them and if the one is bad, usually a different code will be generated relating to the EGR.

Well I erased the code and been driving for about 100 miles and it hasn't turned on yet. If it does I'll switch modulators and see if does anything.

Thanks,

Anton

The vent filters get clogged sometimes. Can disconnect that vacuum line at the turbo transducer and see if you can blow through it easily. Filter is located by the top of the shock, next to the computer box.

OK after about 600 miles the light is back on. Checked the filters they are good (I could blow air easily). I haven't switched modulators yet but I did notice they (modulators)make a buzzing sound after the engine is shut off. Is this normal?

Thanks,
Anton
