Need Protection Cover for Airvalves

Here is one that you might nibble on until after Christmas.
I over tightened the black protective cover box, that mounted on top of the valve cover, broke it, tried to glue it, gave up on it.
Tried some local junk yards without luck, might be to small an item for them.
Can this be purchased anywhere?

Thanks and
Frohe Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr

From Wolfgang

PS: here is a picture of the part

Do you have the patience for a real dumb question? What is under that little black box? What were you trying to do when you broke that part? Is there anything you could have done that would have prevented the damage, or was the plastic just old & brittle? I have not yet taken the valve cover off my 300D and wish to avoid the problems that might be encountered. (I want to detail my engine & polish all the aluminum bits up, and the valve cover is the biggest eyesore at present.)

Pardon anothe dumb question, but what does the German phrase in your preamble mean? Both you and Larry Bible have German phrases in your script, and I am so curious as to what they mean. German is such an expressive language - probably because you spit a lot when speaking it.

Merry Xmas

Ok I will not worry about the cover, just keep the two little air valves clean.
To answer your question Ducati, I did replace the little pieces of tubing under there, it is sort off the intersection for all your vacuum under there.
And yes it was very brittle.
To the German it is my native language, and I like to have fun with it every once in a while, it a Christmas and a New Years phrase, and means literally:
'Merry Christmas and a good slide into the New Year'

And I mean it

The cover is still available. It'll drive a parts man crazy trying to find it. You may be able to help by looking the part itself over for a number. The part is located in the same group the turbo is located in, kind of a strange place, most would assume it to be in group 80 with the vacuum stuff.
The valves, if I'm not mistaken, are for the EGR system, possibly also engine overload protection, and I believe also have an effect on vacuum modulation to the transmission.
As long as you're at it, I would also recommend getting the big chunk of rubber that the vacuum lines pass through on the front of the cover.

Just a reminder for those two little air valves

you can buy those little flaps from the dealer if yours are getting too thin.
