Power steering bleed process?

83 300sd pwr steer. pump was leaking out shaft. Replaced pump, filled and have worked most of the sound out of the system, but it still moans when turning. Is there a secret to bleeding all the air out. I searched the threads and couldn't find anything.

Pump is self bleeding.
Some noise is normal but not to much.

Crank the steering wheel from stop to stop a half dozen times while checking the fluid level in the reservoir. Not much more you can do.

I was hoping it was that easy. I'll keep turning. Thanx for the info.

Jack up the car and take weight off of the wheels, with the engine off, turn the wheels lock to lock about 10 times. Start the car and repeat, keep an eye on the fluid and top off if needed. If the fluid is full of bubbles, let the car sit a while and repeat the running procedure. This should do the job.
