190D Climate control panel problems

On my 1985 190D. the climate control panel buzzes and the fan does not work. I replaced the panel and connected a new fan motor but still have the same results. The panel buzzes whenever I push a vent selector button and the fan does not work. Any suggestions on what the issue may be?

It is most likely the fan speed switch that is right above the CC panel. It is a common problem with these W01s; the plastic bits inside break and the switch is hard to slide back and forth....and don't make contact with any speed selecton.

I have never had an issue with the switch, except melting fuses on high
Thanks. I will check it out.
