Best w123 windshield replacement shop in US?

Hi,

Id like to do windshield seals on both my w123s, front and back. I cant say that Ive really ever found anyone that Im comfortable with locally. I am not going to DIY it, because of the high potential for damage or loss of the glass... On a 300cd especially, that is not a risk I desire to take.

But I am willing to drive, and my wife and I love road trips. Especially if the "best" is this side of the Mississippi, I do not see an issue getting there.

So looking for opinions on a shop with lots of experience, high success rate, very careful and methodical, doing it correct per OE, etc.

Thanks!

Hi I met you and your wife at the GTG, I am also in SJ, Gibbstown.
I do not the know about the best shop but I had my 74 240D rear windshield seal replaced at a large glass shop in Camden NJ on Collings ave/rd, I forget the name, look up in the yellow pages. I took the car and the seal and asked them if they could do it and got an estimate and an appointment. I took the car in and waited few hours and they did a good job and did not break my rear windshield. I was getting rain water in the trunk due to dried out windshield seal. I think they charged me $125.

If you want to come out to the northwest corner, I use a guy who does a great job with MB windshields and he comes to your house, maybe not to NJ though.
