Thumbs up Identification needed !!!!!

Can anyone tell me what these are on top of my Lucas pump? And if so can I get a service kit to stop them from leaking? Or, ANY info on the pump itself would be great. Attachment 84954 Identification needed !!!!!-lucas-er0046-pump.jpgIdentification needed !!!!!-top-pump.gif

It could be helpful to know what Engine and Vehicle it came off of.

About 30 years ago I would have said it is a Shutoff Solenoid but now these days it could control the metering of the Fuel and even the Timing of Injection.

On the similar Bosch VE type pumps some even have an Electric Eye that detects if you are using Off Road Diesel Fuel (red) or regular Diesel Fuel (greenish colored).

If they want to sell you one a Fuel Injection shop that repairs that make would have the gaskets/seals you need.

Thanks for the responce, this is not the actual injection pump but the only picture I could get of this type of pump. Its off of a 1996 c220 diesel auto Elegance. Its a Lucas ER0046, but so far thats all I know. The problem is that it is leaking from the top and I dont have an explored diagram ( or anything) to help me sort out the problem. Thanks again.
