Is my new 1984 300TD turbo a euro car?

Here are some photos. I got it from the original owner. He was really vague about the car. I actually bought it from his daughter because she was given the car but didn't want it. What do you guys think? Is it euro? I thought 1984 euro 300td weren't turbo...

Look at the phone! ha! It turns on... It's filthy. She had a dog that shed everywhere.

I thought it might be euro because of the vin, small bumpers, no lock glove compartment, and no wood in shifter panel.

I totally forgot to take a picture of inside the door it says imported by "blah blah" (the owners name that I bought it from). I can go out and take a pic if needed...

Looks like a Euro to me, but I'm not an expert. What's the warning light on?

The red one is the emergency brake. The other yellowish one is the front brake sensor light. The yellow one is not on. The flash must have made it look like it's on.

You all must have been posting at the same time. I don't think I was aware of a 250TD. I see you have it listed as an English import.

you need to grab some US spec bumpers if you are gonna park that baby in the city! Save those dinky Euro bumpers for someone who will throw lots of money at you. Thats a nice wagon, shame if some crown vic cab dented the hell out of it or bashed in the tail lights while it was parked. As it stands now, you could do that with a shopping cart.

Looks like a Euro but the turbo is a puzzle. Is it possible that someone retrofitted a turbo engine and a turbo badge on the back?

daw,
It was interesting getting it registered here, local road authority told me it didnt exist. The wagon was imported by some one who moved from England. They died before it was put on the road, it sat in storage for years, now I have it. bit gutless, typical English car.

Kerry

Ok this might sound dumb... take it easy I'm a total newbie... but is it possible that the doesn't have a turbo and someone just added turbo to the hatch? What does a turbo look like?! I can go take a picture of my engine if needed.

Dropnosky!

You're making me wanna garage it now! Are the bumpers really worth some good doe? IS it really worth removing and installing US bumpers?

You have an overboost protection switch so I think you must have a turbo. It's under the air cleaner. There's a u-tube from the bottom of the air cleaner going to it.

It's a Euro. The manual AC controls is what makes it a certainty. Well, that and the VIN.
It is well known that Euro models could also come with a turbo. It just seems to not be quite as prevalent as the NA.
And if you like the Euro bumpers it would be stupid to change them out just because a larger Ford product might hit it. It looks better dented than stuck in a closet. And selling them isn't gonna make that much $$.
BTW, nice looking wagon. And you won't find many glove boxes that are aligned that straight....
