I've enjoyed owning my '99 E300TD since new.

Welcome to the W210 with turbodiesel power.

Be careful with the throttle, versus the granny MB diesels you've owned. This one has some serious speed and quickness!

Hey that looks like my W210... but mine has ash interior. Welcome to the club. Parrot is right about the bubbles. I'm currently procrastinating on LCA bushings, a full suspension rebuild, brake rebuild, coolant flush, motot mounts and whatever else I need to do. Read the "common issues" posts here to know what to watch for. They are wonderfully handling cars with the power rack & pinion and rear multi-link, plus when you develop a good anticipatory foot, you will be able to make the turbo spool a little less sluggishly.

It's a car not a science experiment! Open the throttle!

For acceleration, I've adopted the "2 step" method. First, half way down then floor it when boost comes online about a second later.

If you try to floor it immediately from idle, it'll "bog" and take an eternity to get going.

I did this method for the very first time in 11-years of owning mine.......of hauling azz Friday in traffic from a slight rolling start off a 4-way red light. OMG, what a rocket! The two-stage acceleration makes all the difference in VVRRRROOOOM - VROOOM!

BTW, mine's identical to the OP's W210 in color combo. I don't know about options......

What were the miles when purchased? And, did the dealer warranty it in any way?
