These days you can find Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 at Walmart for about $22 for a four quart jug.
I use it year round....can't imagine an advantage that a 15w40 would offer.

It's just about change time for me again, have been buying Mobil 1 TD&T at Meijer for $16/gallon on sale, hope they have it on sale again.
