rear suspension springs off a w123

Hello, needing rear springs for a daily commuter, it’s a 76 300D, my question: can I use rear suspension springs off a w123 on a w115. I come across 280s, 240s and 300s but in the w123 body style. I was going to give it a shot but if someone feels I shouldn’t, I won’t, or if someone thinks one model is better than an other, I appreciate the input, Sorry if the question has been asked before
Thank you,
Sal Escoto,
