1975 240d engine swap help
 

I have a 75 240d with a bad engine. Should I try and look for a 240d 1976 or below? I know they made 240d threw the 80s but the oiling system is different or something. Is there a conversion to put say an 82 240d engine in the 75 benz? Thanks guys, im still learning as fast as I can!

1976 and earlier would be the easiest, the post 76 had the oil filter canister up top, that will fit fit in the W115 engine bay.

i have a 115 240d i piced up.it has 68000 on odometer.dont know if it runs or if miles are accurate..car is strait and has not moved for 5 years i ve seen it laying in yard . im in zip 18332 if your interested ill try to run it.
