noisy blower motor

Hey guys new to the forum.Have a 92 300d w124 with 250k miles car looks like a 10 outside and inside.drives excellent. Two questions,I know the tranny has just been replaced but i notice if i drive very mellow the 1-2,and 2-3 shifts are quite hard, some would say firm is this normal, also the only other problem i have is the a/c works great but the blower motor is squeaky at all speeds, more pronounced at low speeds sounds like the bearings. How do I get to the Motor and is there a chance it is just the cage...thanks everyone

WelCome

As a Starter for your Transmission excursions:

Blower Motor Removal/Access:

Blower Motor Lives UNDER the Monowiper setup.
Blower Motor has "Bushings", No Bearings.
(If it HAD sealed Bearings , you'd never have a lick of trouble out of it.)
"Fix" is to get to it and "Lube" the "Bushings" with minute amount of ATF.

In addition to the above, search ALDA, SWITCHOVER VALVE, and OVERBOOST PROTECTION VALVE. If the IP is not properly metering fuel due to one of these failing or being out of adjustment, you will experience hard shifts. I've had 100% success with my cars so far by correcting these issues. DO NOT ADJUST ANY TRANSMISSION VACUUM-RELATED ITEMS UNTIL THIS AND ALL VACUUM LINES HAVE BEEN CHECKED.
