Yeah, you can see the slave cylinder mounted on the side. It would be pretty sweet if the bolt pattern were the same for our diesels. If I am not mistaken, this is for a W126 gasser, right?

What's so special about it? Hell if that pic's accurate it looks like an m103 bellhousing and a smaller output flange too... You can find this on any 190.

The special thing about it is that it's a 5 speed manual. I don't really know if it will fit a diesel but they will answer any emails with questions. i think I'll email them just for fun.
And yeah mach0415, that's a w126 gasser.

The only place you'll be putting that tranny is either in the passenger seat, the rear seat or the truck! That is a later 5-Speed that has the starter wart on the driver's side, your engine has the starter on the passenger side. You would need a 717.400/402 tranny from a OM615/616/617 or an M110 engined vehicle.

717.XXX denote 5 speed manual gear boxes and 716.XXX denote 4 speed manual gear boxes. The .400 and .402 are GETRAG transmissions, the .400 provides a mechanical speedo output usually a 123 chassis install and the 402 provided an electronic speedo pick-up capacity usually a 126 chassis install. Both of these trannies have a 5th gear as an Over Drive gear at about .84 if I remember correctly, usually coupled to a 3.46 rear gear.

You can expect to pay around $800 -1000 for a good tranny and maybe $1700 for a complete installation package. A number of folks have found complete cars for no a whole lot more than that or better still lucked out and discovered one in a boneyard and got one for short money. These 5 speed trannies almost always where grey market or euro cars that found their way over here.
