I am going to do the hood if I can find one. Possibly along my trip to wisconsin in march. so, if you live around the route to WI (We go Alabama north bypassing atlanta) and you have a hood you want to donate OR sell for a reasonable amt and can take my hood, Please Let me know. I dont care about the color as long as it's rust free. Intact hood pad is a plus but not mandatory I'm waiting on seeing If I Can locate mushroom Front seats. Thats my biggest hold-up right now

Oh, Happiness is the ability to see where your Driving at night. I am THRILLED.

And for those who wonder, The 94/5 heatlights are a DIRECT Swap in. all the connectors will fit from the old lights to the new, the only thing is your Windshield Wiper from the OE lights WILL NOT WORK I'll be posting a guide on how to swap them. I have to pull the left one as it has a severe misalignment issue. so stay tuned for that

I thought the updated headlights only fit with the newer hood (or there was a gap). I could care less about the wipers. I can always ditch them. This is enticing

Looking good!!! I really want to upgrade the interior if I find one down the road. The front end change will make a huge difference on the styling IMO. In a week I will have the reveal on the work I've been doing to mine. I think it's the direction you are going too. Good luck with it!

I say ditch the wipers too. I saw some blanks ( to replace the existing one with holes) online for $9 each

OK, being very new here... tell me or show me the difference between the old hood and the new hood. I'm very intrigued by those headlights, it would be great to be able to drive 87 at night without having to use the brights.

As to the headlight wipers... Thought they are odd anyways. I have my car scheduled for a paint job, maybe I should hold off and get this hood/headlight combo first? Is your's missing trim under the headlight? I'm guessing that's the trip from the wipers, Could you still put that trim in less the wipers? I'm just wondering if I can patch the holes or is there another trim I can use in there, like the one thats also from the 94/95....

the difference is the Grille, the 87 has a bolt on grille, while the 94/5 era are one piece. and it matches the Bevel on the Glass for the lights. Trust me, This is an awesome Upgrade. well worth it. On mine I had to use the brights AND the fog lights to be able to see poorly. now I run with the normal lights and couldnt be happier

If it knew they were that cheap I would have just bought them.
the right side has a different part number. Here is the look we are looking for (minus the expensive AMG bumper). Metal on hood comes down the sides of the smaller and more streamlined grill.

I ended up filling the wiper hole by cleaning and grinding the back of the hole and used some Por15 epoxy putty I had left over from some repairs to fill the majority of it. Put some wax paper on the front side to get it as smooth as possible from the start (peals right off). That epoxy is hard as nails once fully cured. Finished it off with a bit of filler. Came out perfect, but took an extra hour or so. I think it actually may be a differnt shape to fit the 94-95 hood. My hood is very close to these blank wiper panels, and they should completely clear it.

Maybe search the blanks for a 94-95 instead of this link.

Didn't your headlights require a 6 pin connector vs the 4? I had to wire mine up a little different since the new light needed the 6 pin (actually five wires were actually used not six). That may be that mine are aftermarket with extra daytime running lights (9W)

AHHH, yes, that does look nicer. I get it now. So how hard are the hoods to find?
