Fredmburgess I don't have an owners manual yet, but I tried the reset as I read about it on line, and it didn't work. I'll try it again when the OM comes in.
I'm a fan of WVO, not sure if I'll go that route with this guy yet, but reagardless of were you stand on the debate, you have to admit their is a right way to do it and a wrong way. And everything the PO told me about how he was running the car fell into the wrong way collum. Again, this is really a conversation for another thread, but here is a taste of what I'm finding, WVO that seems to have leaked and congelled around injector 6 and a couple others, but not as bad.

I haven't solved the problem yet. It gets boost again, but power drops of fast between 3-4k RPMs. I didn't refill the new filter completely so I killed the battery trying to bleed out the air starting it. Tomorrow I'll know.

KarTek can the scangauge do driveline monitoring and other advanced functions?
I am making progress, looking forward to tomorrow

Based on your pictures, it seems as though there was a return leak and the pocket the injector sits in, combined with the heat of the cylinder head, any portion of diesel and WVO that could evaporate, did, leaving behind waxes and solids. I dont see that as a direct "Bad WVO" system issue, but a simple leak that should have been dealt with long ago. Sadly the injectors on the OM606 are covered and therefore it is not possible to look for leaks on a daily basis. (When doing a routine fluid check and 'once over').

Ok, so it could be interpreted 2 ways here as the message from page 1 isnt exactly clear. Is KarTek stating that no matter what package you have, driveline monitoring is NOT possible, OR is he stating that driveline monitoring is not available with the basic package?

So the question remains.

If I may continue on this digression, seems like the moral of the story here is, "always start with fresh fuel filters...."

More on topic:
As the owner of a W210/OM606, I too am interested in much of what Fred Burgess has done, ie EGR delete and performance upgrades.
