Glow plug question
Afternoon,
I going to check out my glow plugs over an idle problem. Normally, when I turn the key my glow plug light stays on just a second. If I have a glow plug out will the light still stay on just a second? Thanks. Hugh Sr 1984 190d 95,395 |

The 617.95 Engine Manual says that the light should not illuminate at all when a glow plug fault is detected. However, it would make sense that there could be a slight delay before the necessary current imbalance is achieved and the light is extinguished.

He's got a 190D so he doesn't have a 617, but I'm sure it works the same.

I don't have a 601 Engine Manual, so I do the best I can with what I've got.
