Anybody see my Turbo? I seem to have lost it! '99 E300
Well open the confessional. When I moved my car to fix some fuel leaks and the car had been sitting since basically November of 2009. (other than two runs for battery thereapy) Well did not seem like I had the turbo.
Closer inspection seems like I had a short-lived "visitor" of the furry variety that chewed on a vacuum line. Could that in and of itself do it? Also threw a code as well. What's the best "repair" for a vacuum line? This one starts under the Master Cylinder and wanders over to the other side - somewhere. I am thinking cut it an get an oversided one to go over the offending area, maybe dab of silicone... Have not put much thought into it yet, obviously.

Is it a hard line? If so, you can get replacement tubing. It does not cost very much. The silicone thing is a little too half-assed IMO... But, "to each, his own".
If it is a hard line, and it is "only" vacuum related, maybe just trim the hard line and stick a piece of vacuum tubing between the 2 (like a splice).

It's super thin tube, plastic. Maybe 1/8" diameter, kind of off white/light baby blue?
