Ahhh the E300 is awaken to run in the dark of the night!

Well, I have been slowly getting the '99 E300 back on the road. Had been too busy etc for about a year and she was leaking fuel, though I had replaced most lines and o-rings.

So, as I have posted of late I did the following:
* Pulled the IM - Cleaned it all up including EGR - nothing is blacker than that crud
* Tidied up some into the top of the head
* Replaced fuel line on bottom of Shutoff Valve
* Replaced fuel line on back of IP - the one with the banjo bolt - "fun"
* Replaced delivery valve seals and o-rings
* Replaced pre-filter and fuel filter (went back later as I "remembered" that I did not put the o-ring on it)
* Replaced drive belt
* Oh and replaced the shock damper for the belt - "extra fun"
* New air filter
* Repaired vacuum leak caused by "furry" creature that died prematurely
* Dropped in a new battery
* Crank - wait - crank - etc. finally fired up
* Drive to town - Flintstone tires (seemed a little square one side?)
* Topped off low washer fluid - Light was taunting me
* Topped off tank - purchase "Premium Wash"
* Pull around - lower window, punch in carwash code - Green light
* Realize I did not synchronize the window that apparently would not go up.
* Spend 5 minutes doing that
* Wash
* Hit the highway, get on the isolated home stretch at 60 mph, punch it
* Watch speedo twist into triple digits - with the greatest of ease
* Back off - cool down the turbo and back it into the shop

Thanks guys I could not have done all of the "real" stuff without the wisdom found here. So thanks all is well and no codes, turbo churning away, very response - best it's been since I got it several years back.

Now I have to take the kids and friends for a few days on the road - in the minivan

Yep, it was like having a new car. It's been since last November since it was really driven. Sure a couple trips to town and moved it on the property a couple times, but that does not count.

I had to go once I got it back together.

Really helps build confidence and the desire to keep this beauty.

I also made about 38 cents in change under the back seat!
